Cookie Policy
This page explains the small files (cookies) that ClearLot and its analytics provider place on your device, why we use them and how you can control them.

What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It helps the site remember something for a short time, such as where you came from or that you are signed in.
Cookies we use
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by our measurement ID. They last up to two years and hold a random identifier, not your name or phone number. We have removed private link keys from the page addresses we send to analytics.
Campaign cookie: cl_campaign
If you arrive from an advertisement or a link with campaign tags, we remember the campaign name and the first page you landed on for 30 days. This tells us which campaign a form came from.
Partner link cookie: cl_ref
If you open a link from a ClearLot channel partner, we remember that partner for 30 days, so an enquiry is credited to the right partner.
Member key cookie: cl_newkey
After your first unlock we show your new member key once. A short-lived cookie (15 minutes, only on the unlock pages) carries it to that page and is then removed.
Sign-in cookies: clearlot_admin and clearlot_partner
These keep ClearLot team members and channel partners signed in to their own areas. They are session cookies and are removed when the browser is closed. Visitors who do not sign in never receive them.
What we do not do
ClearLot does not place advertising or retargeting cookies of its own, and we do not sell information collected through cookies.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, though campaign and partner credit may not be recorded. To stop Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
